we heart buns (part2)

...the last few details about my easter.  (no church, but still managed to feel very cleansed. )

We were treated to an amazing sunset for ANZAC DAY.  Very fitting.

SNAP happy tourists everywhere.

US.

some BEACH feet  (winter (almost))

a BEACH pooch  (98% wolf)

i heart buns. (part1)

easter eleven was comprised of the usual stuff ......had buns, had choclate, had the worlds biggest rockyroad c/of SWELL CAFE in JanJuc, had chums visit, had swell, had some cold feet = had some new booties.

We also saw the fattest pet in existence.  If you think your gunna fail (suck?) as a parent, then relish in someone's else's shortcomings for a bit.  You will feel better, but not for long.

Surf Spot spotting

Found a few waves today I didn't know existed. One is no good to people who don't eski lid, but the other looks pretty fun!

THIS ENTRY combines Some Dylan lyrics, and Some Faces (that once lived inside a disposable camera.  i'm glad they've moved)

" Strike another match, go start a new
And its all over now BABY BLUE"

jindy and beyond

Alot of strangeness unfolds in JINDABYNE on a fairly regular basis.  The first 2 pics illustrate just that.  1. A Corolla (known for having good resale values) leaning on a rubbish bin.
2. Darragh Walsh (invaluable)

A recent stint in Sydney - a cool exhibition, a cool bottle of vino, a cool wolf like animal, and a cool bakery.

#SIA11

Travel Travel Travel.....thats about it really!  I went to America for a few hours (149 in total) - and here's a log of what my trusty phone captured.

Hour 1 (11am) - a lightbox in tullamarine airport

 Hour 18 (9am) - leaving LAX

Hour 19 (10am) - a taylor steele movie

Hour 21 (12pm) - sightseeing in Colorada

Hour 23 (2pm) - 'chipotle' goodness in downtown denver

Hour 34 (3am) - still no sleep, so......the answer is YES.

Hour 51 (11pm) - post 'Transworld Rider Poll' drive?thru.  Apple Pies anyone?

Hour 72 (2pm) - Im still drunk, and really shouldn't be driving

Hour 74 (4pm) - first chairlift of 2011 (@winterpark)

Hour 98 (2pm) - minus 25 and running late for a flight

Hour 104 (8pm) - missed the flight, so back at @winterpark (getting 'medicinal' with good crew)

Hour 105 (9pm) - medicated with an angrysnowboarder

Hour 120 (12pm) - KUNG FU PELLEY (was here)

Hour 121 (1pm) - running late for another flight

Hour 125 (5pm) - Denver Airport (made the flight)

Hour 133 (11pm) - LAX, regretting all the mexican food

Hour 144 (?) - LAX to BNE (and is it really?, because fuck me this is taking forever)

Updated Movements of a Short Man (and his dog)

This weekend, I took my pooch (Rupert) down to the beach. He has a new friend = Ooh La La. And although he has name envy, they are great chums. (Rupert is the Sausage)
We swum, surfed (a few times), Hung out with great friends (Ben & Liz) - and reaffirmed how a weekend in summer should be spent - family, friends, and getting sideways (surfing!).

Jibberish / Anarchy

Firstly, spell checks can lie.
Secondly, this French phrase was constructed with an online translator. A friend who speaks French assures me it is meaningless Jibberish. I guess I believe him.
- it's meant to read 'And the manic gulls screamed "it's ok", and they believed them'.
I hope the people living in QLD believe them too.

3/1/2011 (Day 4 in PortMac)

I (we) ticked quite a few 'holiday boxes' today;
- Nude beach hi jinx with 2girls (1 cup?)
- Picked and ate fresh strawberries
- Logged without a leg rope
- Discovered my rashie isnt UV Effective
- Read 4 Kerouac chapters

Yup. A rad day for sure.

PS - that palm tree is the view from our hammock.

update

there was also a wedding (congrats luke + megan), a midnight organ fight in the car (congrats Newry Street), and a kebab.
GOOD weekend.

nu benchmark

a quik trip down to torquay reiterated how strange some people are.....

example A.   vintage mafia style crap coloured mercedes.
add personalised 'WOMBAT' rear badging and an apocalyptic orange siren+light kit

example B.   smoking a cigarrette while driving.
add rubber gloves

short people taking the tall way

this is a small edit of our recent trip to Sean and Ana's Wedding in Hervey Bay.  We (the idiots) drove there from brisbane - we should have flown.

Timelapse GOPRO - roadtrip! from amine yasmine on Vimeo.

But if we had, then none of this would have happened.  I have mixed feelings about that.

for christmas i have asked santa for more time

(insert guilt ridden apologetic opening statement) so not much time on here lately.  infact, not much time on anywhere really.  i wish there was more to say about it

~ during the above, there have been some moments of good preparation.  but for the others, the Iphone has been handy.  melbourne + summer

it seems uniting has been the theme this year.  thats cool, i thINK weddings are proper ace.  and NIK savic is a pretty cool name.  cool guy.  good night for sure.

a visit to FRASER island, a sandy bus floor, a hysterical back seat crew.
note; you don't need shoes.  thongs are very fine

and THIS IS Matty.  he has a hotmail address.  he is learning to swim.  he is the happiest guy ever - and it shows.   I hope one day to look as happy as he does most days.
