none.

BOBBY has issues, and just for a change, isn't ashamed of them.

we all have issues.  some try and hide there's, some hang them out to dry in a crowded street....this is what BOBBY does.   he is a new friend of mine.  flealess.  vocal.  hates a sleep in.  loves a flywire.  doesnt have an opinion on the birds who shit in my courtyard everyday (maybe he's a vegan - i think it would be more helpful if he was a flexitarian).      GOOD with the bad!!

And to conclude, stealing does not make you happy in the end.

ATTAK POLLY

I went to see Attak Polly on Saturday after dark.  In true rockstar form, the frontman, Junior (AKA steve rannick) had his way with a prize groupie that evening, then, in true 17 year old form, caught public transport home the next day.  EPIC

They made a bunch of nice noise (the band).

PSS - these shots were meant to be warm and semi blurred (not unrecognisably burred).

weekend in WYE river

i had two goals this trip.

1. get rupert comfortable on my (a)  longboard

2. take photos and enjoy hanging out with some of my family members.

seemed fairly successful.  Great coastal getaway.

season finale.

the drive to buller is easy.

i enjoy the shft seasons (particularly when they warm).  gravity seems to get the better of me in winter, but less so in summer.

some older stuff

continuing on the recent lack of anything interesting -
jackson hole 2006 - the good ol' days (mintues)

st kilda  2007 - closer to now

not much happening. but

so not much inspiring stuff documented or seen.  but i guess thats just life.
Anyway,
Peep this for kicks, maybe  .
now let me talk you through this, here we have Cezare Christeinsen, in the start gates to what would appear to be a race of some sort.  in jeans (phone in back pocket) and a wollen sweater with no mental notion whatsoever to wear gloves or anything weather protectant.  This guy is a Champion. You can almost here the disgust in the Austrian Race Officials verbs.
FYI - he requested that race bib for it's number, and later uttered something about magic johnson and aids.

another snow inspired entry.  hotham with friends.

i am glad the seasons over.

u know your at BAWBAW when....

there's dimmey's snow walking boots tags in the car park
FYI _ dimmey's have renewed their lease.

and, this find is still single. she has mega style, dry knickers (which means she one-up's me) - and moves up from a 4/10 at buller to a 7/10 at bawbaw.
in which case, why wouldn't u? ....

amnesia is just like having a faulty camera - but better.

here i will just reCAPP THE recent happs.  and by happs i refer to things i dont think i would have remembered adequately without ruining the moment with a flash.  maybe i just have no confidence.
"i keep forgetting, then re-realising, that life still holds some mystery; and its epic"

1. authorative Sirens are to Sheparton what Coffee is to Melbourne,  just part of the program.  driving from albury to the hotpig.

2. surfing your buddies couch is always a gamble.....this one paid off big time!!!!
hotham couch surf (woke up to the bestest best waves ever!!!) =

3. brisbane often looks like this after a night in the valley.  i hate 6am flights, I hope the pilots get loading.

4. keeping kids on shred.  not my line but some people dont know that. fALLs.  ALLtime.

5. and finally.  Jindy in the winter (rain). tip - imagine you are looking at this with 'magpie to the morning' (NEKO CASE) playing in the background from you car you left running because you pulled over in a hurry because the view took your breath somewhere else.  who said faulty cameras are annoying

This photo is nice.

I love this shot.  IT Needs no witty intro.

This pooch is going to boot camp

If Rupert (the wonder dog) does not start to tow the line, we will have no choice to whisk him off for a quick boot camp back with his breeder at kooweerup.  Nothing nice comes out of kooweerup, as we are finding out.  (Poor Rupert.)
FYI - If I was a miniature sausage dog, i would also be of the opinion that the world owes me something, and being PACK LEADER des not seem like an unreasonable request.  (Poor Rupert.)

ATM is live.

some more un-inciteful social documentary for you (whoever.)

a rainbow means different things to different people.  i think its god smiling (funny that i dont really believe in god though)

this fence is often overshadowed by the beautiful coastline it protects.  watsons bay.  wataspot.

rupert.  he is like a faulty train.  on the rails, off the rails, on the rails etc etc.  we suspect he has a thyroid problem; hence the unpredictable aggression, selective incontinence and sporadic weight gains.  poor little guy.

winter can challenge the lower limbs

I surfed this weekend.  I had a ball.  I lasted two hours, and at the end of it my feet had become absurdly frozen traumatized stumps of tissue.    (even with bootie's) .......feet are one of the most awful things ever, especially cold ones.

end of an era

for all you overseas culturites, you may not know that arnott's (purveyors of aisle 4) have just changed the packaging for Dark Chocolate Royals.

dont be fooled into thinking you know aisle 4.

on this road trip I rediscovered being homesick

Some shots from a recent intercontinental life-binge.\

shot 1 - glenrowan is famous for the golden arches that signify the start to the alpine ascent. this is fine, but what about when your driving to sydney...in which case, fog and sunrise work just fine.

shot 2 & 3 - newcastle (is epic) (except for the beaumont street bogans). i love it when you can enjoy a city on the coast.

shot 4 - wollongong (same). the clouds in the gong are always so happy and chilled out when im there.

shots 5 & 6 - perisher. we did our first YES demo last weekend. these demos are fun, but way funner when you are home reflecting as opposed to being in the tent, poisoned. but thems the breaks. Osama (Belmore) and Marcus (stocker) keeping the Stockl tent amused.

first shred in a few months too many

went for a board on snow last weekend.   What a great concept.

buller with buddies.  me and 'was bad but now seems quite good' french.

Buller skyline shot from Merrijig -  looks like FALL, actually, is not far off FALL, but still winter.

blue sky and green leaves in the cosie town of Broadford.   i love the contrast and warmth in these colors.  When you look at this photo you can tell its been shot on a sunday!

backyarder's

I recently went to a friends' friends backyard rail jam.  These generally mean utter disappointment and wet socks.
This set up was fun, people were high and happy.  Cheers for the invite boomby.

french MUFF

My brother is living in paris again, spending his time recording music and being interesting.  his emails are now completely in french, which makes them semi pontless, however, i do see a point to this when 'chasing the ellusive french muff'.
lucky prick.

no more (than) words

i want t be brief, but not obscure.

porno mags are the best reasons to chop down stupid trees.

with each day @ rush i move further away from the dream of returning to my idealised path.  (slightly dramatic.  actually, incredibly dramatic)

(deep breath)  (sigh)

trimming adventure

this weekend, i went to visit Howard (HooDog) and Nicole (skids) in Port macquarie.  heres a snapshot of the haps.

Day 1

This is jasper.  jasper was rescued from the pound (which is rad), shes from a litter of 12 pups (8 of which were put down for 'bad behaviour').  she is Clumsy, front paw heavy, indesperately disobedient, and loves the front of a longboard.  Great dog, and great addition to their family.

peeling right @ lighthouse.  surfed twice here in one day = beyond stoked.

Day two
a semi lazy start after a semi large night.  wine.  guitar heaven / hero.  we rolled up to crescent head around 10am.  etherical place, with or without swell.  so we surfed Back Beach.  super fun. it was my first longboard experience.  and i am hooked.....(cook get on board!)

the 3 intercontinental amigos.  @ racecourse @ sunset.

this crap house saved me from a 'two-coffee bushpoo'......I almost didnt make it.   according to locals, Goannas commonly attack people in this cubicle - but not using it was not an option. and two serviettes is kinda like a titty bar - never really enough.

Day 3

Yet another semi early rise, and off to Howards LONGBOARD Comp we went.  todays motto was 'not losing is the new winning' .  Congrats to Howard (5th).

on this adventure i re-learnt the importance of enjoying life.

and thus, this week-ended with that unmistakable mix of extreme fatigue and inspiration. Thanks for a great weekend guys!
