update

there was also a wedding (congrats luke + megan), a midnight organ fight in the car (congrats Newry Street), and a kebab.
GOOD weekend.

nu benchmark

a quik trip down to torquay reiterated how strange some people are.....

example A.   vintage mafia style crap coloured mercedes.
add personalised 'WOMBAT' rear badging and an apocalyptic orange siren+light kit

example B.   smoking a cigarrette while driving.
add rubber gloves

short people taking the tall way

this is a small edit of our recent trip to Sean and Ana's Wedding in Hervey Bay.  We (the idiots) drove there from brisbane - we should have flown.

Timelapse GOPRO - roadtrip! from amine yasmine on Vimeo.

But if we had, then none of this would have happened.  I have mixed feelings about that.

for christmas i have asked santa for more time

(insert guilt ridden apologetic opening statement) so not much time on here lately.  infact, not much time on anywhere really.  i wish there was more to say about it

~ during the above, there have been some moments of good preparation.  but for the others, the Iphone has been handy.  melbourne + summer

it seems uniting has been the theme this year.  thats cool, i thINK weddings are proper ace.  and NIK savic is a pretty cool name.  cool guy.  good night for sure.

a visit to FRASER island, a sandy bus floor, a hysterical back seat crew.
note; you don't need shoes.  thongs are very fine

and THIS IS Matty.  he has a hotmail address.  he is learning to swim.  he is the happiest guy ever - and it shows.   I hope one day to look as happy as he does most days.

seeing cool stuff through glass is still seeing cool stuff

So I recently made a busy little stopover in en-zaird.  Work trip. Good thing work is fun.

i had next to no time to snap stuff (outdoors), so all photos were taken from behind a window.  car.  plane.  whatever.  with a trusty fixed 50mm.

quite scenic really.

not even crying babies can ruin this sightseeing.

2010 so far.

Life never underwhelms me. well, rarely anyway.  life can be good, better with company, and best with.....(not sure yet). heres some standouts from 2010's first 149 days.

some friends came to visit

a great week makes for a great month.  sometimes, a really great week can make a great year.  nuff said.

every so often, SA is the new SUR

some recent moments (of significance) for moi.

safaris are cool, even when theyre not not fake.  and if you add family, great colors, a rainbow - then you've got a fun day.

having a nice patch of grass to loiter is important to me...  and to STEVE (the zebra)

easter 2000ten

i spared myself, and decided that keeping jesus in disgust would work just fine.

i figured it safer to be with friends.  (and no harm came our way...  maybe some, but not enough to rethink it)

the pages that contain truth are (sometimes) blank.

not this time
some overseas leftovers. i dont have incredibly nice teeth, but i look at these and cant help but show them off

i like being a portable person.  wandering without direction, but not lost

this entry is titled (in capitals for more effect) DISCOVER THE PERSON YOU ARE, BEFORE YOU FIND THE PERSON YOU NEED TO BE. these are not my words. they are dane peterson's.

these are snippets of things that happen on days that start with the letter S.

I have a back step, which thinks it's really a back porch.  i dont have the heart to tell him otherwise.

An upside down skywriter.  shot from seat A1 of the back porch.  if my bags were full of money, i would communicate with friends via skywriting too.   Look?  Cool?  Yup

A great car.  A great example of being true to your school.  Old or Nu.   This photo is of nothing really - but sometimes nothing can be very graceful

Robert Digital.  He's only a kitten - so this is technically kittie porn.

Verona

VerY Romantic.  Lovers everywhere - a la Romeo & Guilietta.
Gnocchi.
Fairly good gelato also.
Very cool does not begin to describe it.

The churches are all pristine in thier own aged inperfect way.  but it was nice to actually sight some 'maintenance'.    Sant'Anastasia

This kid (it's not the same kid) is all monumented out.  Yup, it can happen.  But life's about choices, and he's plenty old enough to drink coffee

Rooftops.  its funny how things look depending on where you stand,

These cats know gelato

i FOUND milano.  not sure if it found me......

lots of great things, and an abundance of average things....thus, one can conclude, that some local knowhow is needed to for this one.   We still got along OK.

Just a little hill on Lake COMO.....as snapped on the zurich to milan trainride.  incredible.

Lung cancer....seems to be a fairly well known about condition in AUS.  Not so in europa.  maybe (kings) castles and (impressive) churches cure cancer?  I doubt it...but. it seems "faith is a gift they have received, and i am yet to" (T.H).  "Damn Churchies" (A.Y.)

Snail attack.  Stoked kid.  Historic buildings.  I could not resist.

CH - Confederation Helvetica (part 6)

Pissing on someone's floor is like engraving something in the fresh cement outside their house....it takes a while to get forgotten.  2nd hand info.  Or 3rd maybe.

DAVOS - is a city in the CH alps...not a resort, not a town, not a village...a CITY.  Got it. And so....apparently cities in the alps have palm trees and spas @ 2300m elevation.  "sure, its OK, you can make relax and sauna spa after ski"......

In this city (and on the drive home), I also learnt that DJing is no longer about matching beats, scratching and digging through crates.....it is now cheat programs, effect buttons and music theft.  ClastParty.

CH - Confederation Helvetica (part 1)

"Das ist kunst" is swiss-german for "THIS IS ART" - u hurd it here early.

Spani treated me to some Zurich sites.  Mellow place.  Mellow people.  Says plenty about being neutral and staying wealthy.

I mayB addicted to Swatch.  Swatch stores.  Swatch presents.    And,  Photos (of limited quality).

A photo of a Swiss Bank seemed necessary.  very jason bourne of me I know, but if it comes naturally...

I do not compute how those ducks and swans can tolerate being in that cold lake (L Zurich). I'd be shitting all over people and things as well - unphased
Lovely City.
Thanks Renato
Thanks Rudolph (Renato's DAD).

2zero1zero continues on its fine way

More moments worth citing....
personally, i dont think economy plus deserves its own sign...it stinks worse than munich cupboards.  and they stink.

we graced the Transworld POLL awards (before the stripclub) with some 'last one's here' style that often defines Buller kids.  I am not sure the loco mexico's are aware of the Corona Can Invention either....
further, a keen eye will notice a broken nose in that shot.

More STanton memoirs....and more proof that Ed does ski.  Not looking entirely certain about the white shit falling from the clouds    (?) though is he.
