french MUFF

My brother is living in paris again, spending his time recording music and being interesting.  his emails are now completely in french, which makes them semi pontless, however, i do see a point to this when 'chasing the ellusive french muff'.
lucky prick.

no more (than) words

i want t be brief, but not obscure.

porno mags are the best reasons to chop down stupid trees.

with each day @ rush i move further away from the dream of returning to my idealised path.  (slightly dramatic.  actually, incredibly dramatic)

(deep breath)  (sigh)

trimming adventure

this weekend, i went to visit Howard (HooDog) and Nicole (skids) in Port macquarie.  heres a snapshot of the haps.

Day 1

This is jasper.  jasper was rescued from the pound (which is rad), shes from a litter of 12 pups (8 of which were put down for 'bad behaviour').  she is Clumsy, front paw heavy, indesperately disobedient, and loves the front of a longboard.  Great dog, and great addition to their family.

peeling right @ lighthouse.  surfed twice here in one day = beyond stoked.

Day two
a semi lazy start after a semi large night.  wine.  guitar heaven / hero.  we rolled up to crescent head around 10am.  etherical place, with or without swell.  so we surfed Back Beach.  super fun. it was my first longboard experience.  and i am hooked.....(cook get on board!)

the 3 intercontinental amigos.  @ racecourse @ sunset.

this crap house saved me from a 'two-coffee bushpoo'......I almost didnt make it.   according to locals, Goannas commonly attack people in this cubicle - but not using it was not an option. and two serviettes is kinda like a titty bar - never really enough.

Day 3

Yet another semi early rise, and off to Howards LONGBOARD Comp we went.  todays motto was 'not losing is the new winning' .  Congrats to Howard (5th).

on this adventure i re-learnt the importance of enjoying life.

and thus, this week-ended with that unmistakable mix of extreme fatigue and inspiration. Thanks for a great weekend guys!

'I dont think my ........ can handle it' (anonymous) 'u know how i love a mini bus' (me)

there and back again by...

Yet another work roadie.  a week of bad beds, un-met artwork deadlines, restaurant overdoses, mobile kangaroos, temperamental email servers...... and lots of beautiful things along the way to notice.

the view from Scammels Lookout, on the way to the NSW resorts (at the west side of the great alpine range).   its a beautiful spot, and we caught it just in time with good light and april snow!

a building in CIVIC Centre act that i seem to look at alot.  Theres lots of buildings in the world, but i seem to like this one.  clean, but not sterile.

i was manning the pedals, ingrid was womanning the wheel, and we snapped this.  Anzac Bridge on the way to Sydney CBD.  Good bridge, but it's fairly hard for a bridge in sydney to get much SUN if you know what i mean.

Manly After Dark.  moonlight is great for volleyball, sitting and watching, and apparently, surfing shorebreaks.  The people who live on those northern beaches are definitely pretty lucky.  Very nice digs.

whilst venturing out after THAI (4th thai meal that week) for an ice cream, I heard a ruckus from north beach WoolloonGONG.  inspection revealed a friday night gathering.  families having picnics, fire throwers, fire eaters, organic glow stick purveyors, and an incredible congo drum jam session.  i dont know what the gathering was about, but everyone there had a great time, myself included.  The kid above was on his way home, and the girl below is probably still there.
